Malossi rear shock absorber Rs24, wheelbase 275 mm for 10" wheel.
The versatility of this suspension has proven surprising thanks to the 3 new adjustment systems, which enhance its use on the road and track:
-adjustment of the hydraulic system in extension to absorb all the roughness of the terrain;
-double regulation of the hydraulic system in compression (separate for low and high speed);
-spring preload to adapt the vehicle's running position.
Technical features
These special shock absorbers have technical characteristics that represent the maximum technological expression available on the market today:
-Type: hydropneumatic shock absorber with separate compensation tank.
-Use: racing scooter.
-Shock absorber rod Ø 14 mm in hardened and tempered 38 NiCrMo4UNI 7845 steel with hard chrome deposit 25-30 micron thick (surface hardness of the shaft not yet treated HRC 55/60).
-Piston Ø 36 mm with two independent disc packs, one in compression and one in extension.
-New lamellar system in harmonic steel which allows for very precise calibration.
-Piston guide shoe of the LUBRIFLON-PTFEB70 type (bronze filled modified compound).
- Sliding on DU GUIDE bush (compound obtained by sintering a state of spheroidal bronze on a suitably pressed mild steel strip and with subsequent impregnation and coating with a mixture of PTFE+FB).
- Scraper ring in SEALTHANE grade 9345 polyester resin.
-Micrometic adjustment of spring pre-load via ring nuts.
-Adjustment of hydraulic braking in extension pre-selectable on approximately 24 positions.
-Double adjustment of the hydraulic compression braking, pre-selectable to approximately 10 positions each, separate for low and high speed.
-Special oil with low viscosity and practically insensitive to temperature variations.
-External compensation tank which allows an increase in the quantity of internal fluids.

-Stroke: rear 27.5 mm - front 23 mm.
