AIR BOX FILTERS: They are special sponge air filters: before using, damp them with a film of filter oil and check the carburettor calibration. BLUE AIR BOX: to assemble this special filter you can choose between two different options; you can assemble it together with its plastic cap or leave it open. Aside from your choice, you have always to check the carburettor calibration Warning! Once you have placed the cap of the filter, it is hard to disassemble it; be careful as the parts could be damaged easily. We suggest you using a small screwdriver between the parts to help the loosening. SPONGE AIR FILTERS (Sponge for original filters) Wet the filters with specific filter oil to increase its capacity to keep the dusts. Then wring it to eliminate the oil in excess, increasing the capacity to keep the dusts thanks to the “sticker” effect, especially for the thinner dusts that may “escape” from the dry filter. Once the filter is exhausted, it is possible to clean it: wash it and blow it with compressed air. In this way it is possible to partially recover the filter but it is not possible to restore entirely its efficiency because some particles, above all the thinnest ones, may remain trapped in the grid.
