OPERATION

The rotation imparts to the masses, as a function of their weight, the thrust necessary to move the half-pulley on its axis.

By increasing the rotational speed, the pulley thrust and feed increase accordingly and inversely if the rotational speed is decreased.

By increasing the weight of the masses at the same number of revolutions, the thrust increases. The opposite occurs if the weight of the masses is decreased.

Technical features

Semi-pulley in silicone aluminum with high mechanical resistance, Ø 115 mm, very light and without external roughness.

Equipped with 6 tracks for rollers, with calculated inclination, guided in the center by a special self-lubricating bronze bush, with PTFE filling (material of great fluidity that does not require maintenance).

Bearing of the mobile half-pulley guided by two interchangeable nylon guide bushes which slide in ground holes, avoiding torsional stresses on the rollers which cause friction and wear.

This system gives greater efficiency to the variator, greater smoothness and eliminates chaotic effects.
